Easter

I can't believe the last time I blogged was in January! Wow! So, here is a quick catch up! Here is Easter Saturday. Went to Easter Egg hunts in the morning! Payson has a really fun one. Wesley got a plastic golf set. Braxton got a hot wheel car, Madi got a gift card to Payless Shoe store...and i got (thanks from the kids) a free tan. And of course, they got lots of candy! It was raining but the kids still had lots of fun.Grandma Sue had a fun party at her house. Colored Eggs, a yummy dinner, had a Easter Egg hunt outside. Princess won the grand egg with twenty bucks inside! Go Girl! We also had a egg race, usually done outside, but started raining so we had it inside. Put a hard boiled egg on a spoon and walk as fast as you can!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday, Princess woke up with a fever. Later that day "B" came upstairs crying with blood everywhere. We called the docs in the family and tried to avoid going to the hospital but ended up going and he got 3 staples in his head. Poor guy.

To add a little more craziness to our lives, a month or two ago I noticed the kids closet floor was damp and their room was smelling awful. Ended up pulling up the carpet and putting towels down. The next step...moving them into the next room. Thought it was a leak in the roof. Called a roofer. He said, "I'm 99% sure this is your problem." $240 dollars later, it was not the problem! Then that room I put the kids in started to get damp on the floor. And the wall was really wet. Called a contractor who after a few hours, and cutting a few holes in our house, found a pipe in the inner wall in the kitchen sliced in half. Called the insurance company..and now we live in a construction site. The damage is quite bad (estimating up to $15,000) and they have found quite a bit of mold. (Grateful we haven't gotten sick) They tore up our wood floor in our kitchen, took out the cabinets (which tore up the countertop) Mike and I tore out the carpet in both rooms. So, after all is said and done, (which who knows when that will be) but, we will be having our wood floors resanded and looking new, a new granite counter top, which we were going to do (now we don't have to pay for it) new carpet (which we wanted to do, but didn't want to pay for) and hopefully with doing a few things on our own...we will end up coming out ahead...we hope! So, what a mess, but hopefully a good result in the end!
